Rahim Yar Khan: Sabir Ali of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) broke the Afghan cyclist’s momentum Monday to win the seventh stage of the 15th Tour de Pakistan as cyclists travelled from Bahawalpur to Rahim Yar Khan.
District Sports Officer Bahawalpur, Irshad Qureshi saw the athletes off from Farid Gate for the seventh round of the Tour de Pakistan after National Bank of Pakistan hosted a breakfast for the participants
Imtiaz Hussain of Afghanistan, the lone participating foreign team, had won the last two stages of the Tour.
Sabir finished the race in 5 hours, 39 minutes, and 26 seconds to complete the 197-km long stage of the Tour de Pakistan.
Afghanistan’s Imtiaz Hussain had to content with second position, while Owais Aslam Haroon Rasheed of Wapda captured the third and fourth position. Asif Junior and Niamat Ali of SSGC finished with fifth and sixth place respectively.

The race is getting tougher with longer routes and a rivalry shaping up among the Pakistani and Afghan cyclists.
The participating cyclists would take rest on Tuesday and then embark upon the eighth phase of the Tour on Wednesday.
General Sec. of Pakistan Cycling Federation Idres Haider Khawajah informed exclusivly to ubaidawanmedia.blogspot.com 42 cyclists were participated in seventh stage and now they take one day rest at Rahim Yar Khan and eight stage will start from Wednesday.
