Pakistan blind cricket team to play England next month



ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Blind Cricket Council will host a three-match one-day international series and one Twenty20 match against England in Sharjah next month.

The series is set to be played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium from April 2-9, the PBCC said.

The PBCC proposed the idea of the series to the England Blind Cricket Team – the official affiliate of England and Wales Cricket Board – who accepted the invitation, a PBCC press release said.

Trials to select the team for the Sharjah series will be conducted by the PBCC during four-day trials from March 11 to 14, in Islamabad..

The three categories for which players will be selected are: totally blind (B1), partially blind (B2) and partially sighted (B3).

PBCC named officials Nafees Ahmad, Mohammad Jameel and Taimoor Imran Ali Khan will take conduct the trails and select the team.

Twenty-four players will appear for the trials, of which 15 will be selected for the tour.
