Essex hunt is on to find Kaneria’s replacement

London, Mar. 8 (ANI): English county Essex is trying to find a world-class replacement for Pakistani leg-spinner Danish Kaneria.

While Kaneria would be available for the first three months of Essex’s season, he will be called to national duty when Pakistan faces Australia, The Dawn reports.

Kaneria’s loss has come as a massive blow for Essex, who have relied heavily upon him for the past five years.

Essex was looking to enjoy a successful season after winning promotion back to Division One with Kaneria in form.

Since Kaneria is able to bowl long and penetrating spells, Essex skipper Mark Pettini allows him to bowl continuously from one end, while rotating his seamers from the other.
