Pakistan Pick six uncapped Boxers for Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Int. Boxing


KARACHI The Pakistan Boxing Federation named two teams - Pakistan Green and Pakistan White - for the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament which will be held at Benazir Sports KPT Complex Karachi from January 1 to 9.
Pakistan National Coach Francisco Hernandez Roldan (Cuba) and Camp commander Iqbal Hussain announced the teams during a press conference here Tuesday at the Pakistan Sports Board National Coaching Center where the PBF had organised national training camp.
Francisco Henrandez Roldan said that both Pakistan teams will comprise of eleven boxers each and home boxers will be seen in action in all the 11 weight categories. Some boxers, he added, were new for the International arena but they were talented and hoped Pakistani boxers will show good performance in upcoming tournament. The competition would also provide experience to home boxers when they box against opponents of different countries in the tournament, he added.
Camp commander Iqbal Hussain said that the Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) strove hard for organising Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament with the help of the AIBA and the ASBC and said the federation was thankful to them for their support. He hoped that the tournament will provide an opportunity to home boxers to prepare for future international competitions like South Asian Games and the Asian Games.

1: 48kg Mohib Bacha (wapda) international
2: 51kg Mohammad Waseem (wapda) he took two bronze medals in 2009 at Bangkok and Istanbul and reach at pre quarter finals of AIBA world Championship 2009
3: 54kg Niamatullah (Wapda) International
4: 57kg Abid Ali (PAF) he was play in Olympics qualifiers in 2004 and 2008
5: 60kg Adnan Hussain (PAF) International
6: 64kg Amir Khan (Sindh) national champion and take part in AIBA World Championship 2009
7: 69kg Dur Mohammad (Sindh) International
8: 75kg Nadir Khan (Pakistan Navy) and Team captain he credit many time national champion and was also take part in Doha Asian Games.
9: 81kg Mohammad Yousuf (PAF) not international, Cuban Coach pick him from Pakistan Open National Ranking Boxing Tournament was concluded few day ago.
10: 91kg Yasir Javeed (Pakistan Army) International
11: 91+kg Imran Shah (Rangers) International, he was not in camp and Cuban coach picked him from Pakistan Open National Ranking Boxing Tournament.

1: 48kg Nadir Baloch (Pakistan Rangers) International
2: 51kg Abdul Waheed (PAF) International
3: 54kg Ali Mohammad (Pakistan Navy) International and he was the Gold Medalist in Asian junior Championship 2005 at Karachi.
4: 57kg Qadir Khan (KESC) two time bronze Medalist in Asian Cadet championship 2002-03
5: 60kg Nawaz Dad (Pakistan Army) Not International, National Champion 2007
6: 64kg Arshad Hussain (PAF) Not International, National Champion 2007
7: 69kg Zakir Hissain (KESC) International, Doha Asian games 2006
8: 75kg Nisar Khan (Pakistan Army) International, Olympic Qualifiers 2004

Francisco Hernandez is a head coach of both the teams and local coaches Ali Bukhsh (KESC), Arshad Hussain (Army), Tahir Ahmed (PAF) and Abdul Majeed (Pakistan Railways) will be assistant coaches of both the teams.
