Karachi: 25 July: Pakistan ace leg-spinner Danish Kaneria set to rejoin Essex after a successful stint with Pakistan against Sri Lanka in the final Test in Colombo, took seven wickets in the match including 5-62 in the first innings however sat out in the first two test matches.
Kaneria returned to Pakistan and while talking to Cricdb he confirmed, "I will stay here[Karachi] for next two or three days and then will depart for England to continue with Essex."
Essex meanwhile desperate about his return as leg-spinner was not selected for the Pakistan ODI series against Sri Lanka and club seeking his[Kaneria] way back into the squad as South African batsman Hashim Amla had been recruited as an interim replacement for Kaneria. This is expected to be the 26-year-old's last appearance in an Essex sweater with Kaneria set to return imminently.
And club hoped Kaneria will form part of the squad for the Essex Auto Group Southend Cricket Festival that starts on Wednesday August 5.
