PCB preparing plans to convince teams to tour Pakistan

Karachi: Pakistan Cricket Board Director General Javed Miandad says a master plan is being prepared to deal with the security concerns of touring teams and improve the standard of the sport in the country.
The former Pakistan captain said as soon as the master plan is ready, it would be made public through the media.
"The days of the board being run by one man are over. At present many former Test players have come together to work out a master plan that would improve the state of Pakistan cricket," Miandad said.
He said the current chairman Ejaz Butt had reposed full faith in him and given him complete authority.
"I am working with all the former players appointed to key positions in the board in recent days including Saleem Altaf (chief operating officer), Aamer Sohail (director national academy), Abdul Qadir (chief selector), Wasim Bari (director human resources) to prepare this master plan," he added.
Miandad said the former players knew the finer points of the game and had stared work from zero.
"Even the response we have got from other boards is positive. We have got messages from other boards saying they would now enjoy working with a board that is dominated by former players," he added.
Miandad said cricket was big in Pakistan that is why it needed to be organized on proper lines and the board turned into a productive institution.
