Pakistan Cricket , Fawad in Yousaf out for the Canada T20

Lahore : Mohammad Yousaf has been ruled out of the quadrangular four-nation Twenty20 International series fixtures starting from October 10. Al-rounder Fawad Alam, promising fast bowler Sohail Khan and Anwar Ali and a surprise inclusion of Shoaib Khan in the 15-man squad oblige to be a worthy one.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) yesterday, delayed the announcement of their squad for the four-nation Twenty20 campaign; apparently selectors were willing to review the match between Lahore Lions and Rawalpindi Ramps who are combating to qualify the semi-final of the National Twenty20. As, many luminaries including Muhammad Yousaf – who is desperate to play International Twenty20, but couldn’t perform well during the National event, to be selected for the Quadrangular series, meanwhile Cricdb had learnt that selectors had only delayed in announcing the squad to evaluate Yousaf’s part for Lahore Lions. As Yousaf, last month questioned the selectors about his continued omission from Pakistan's Twenty20 team, assuming him 'not fit to play Twenty20 cricket'.

Whereas, some speculation has also being prevailing, that Canadian Immigration has refused Yousaf’s visa, whereas Selectors meanwhile were not willing to select Yousaf because of his poor form in the Twenty20 as he scored just 15 runs in two matches.

Considering Yousaf’s performance which isn’t a promising one, Fawad Alam who has scored 55 runs in one national T20 against Lahore Eagles would likely replace Yousaf. Abdur Rauf who had been leading Multan Tigers skirmishing by Islamabad leopards, though a stunning overall individual performance by Rauf could draft him into the squad.

Selectors were also intimately watching Shoaib Akhtar’s performance throughout the tournament, a source told Cricdb, that chief selector Salahuddin is very much satisfied with Akhar’s performance.

Whereas, Sohail Khan and Anwar Ali talented fast bowler of Karachi Dolphins made their way into the national squad along with a Shoaib Khan, who once been selected for the Twenty20 probable against Bangladesh earlier this year, but wasn’t consider for the first 11 has once again focused for the Twenty20 contests considering his briskly inning of 85 runs against Lahore Lions – one of the best team so far.
