The Akbar Alam benefit Twenty 20 cricket match On October 15

Karachi : The Akbar Alam benefit Twenty 20 cricket match which was scheduled to be played at the National Stadium Karachi on 13 October 2008 has been postponed, and now is rescheduled on 15 November 2008 at NSK Karachi.This was announced by Dr Farooq Sattar convener MQM coordination committee and MNA, who is the head of the organizing committee, and Mr Jalaluddin event director.
The reason for the rescheduling of the benefit match is the un availability of Pakistan's superatsrs who are representing Pakistan in the four nations tournament which is starting on 14 October in Toronto, Canada. The past super stars are also busy in their personal commitments and will be available in the next month.
The Akbar Alam benefit match is unique in its kind as the celebrities of all walks of life are taking deep interest in it. The match is scheduled between Sindh Governor XI and Sindh Chief Minister XI. Past and present members of Pakistan cricket team and first class cricketers are taking part from both the teams in this day and night match. GEO TV has consented to live telecast of the match.
