Legend Olympians launched hockey rescue campaign

Karachi: Former hockey Olympians tipped in ground for national game rescue after hockey world cup debacle they will launch a strong campaign against Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) top officials like as “Go Jamali Go” type campaign.

Privet Television Channel (APNA NEWS TV) claimed on Friday up to 60 former Olympians and international players included Olympian Ayaz Mehmood, Olympian Qamar Zia, Olympian Islah Uddin, Olympian Moin Uddin, Olympian Naeem Akhtar, Olympian Qamar Ibrahim, Olympian Shahnaz Shaikh, Olympian Khalid Mehmood, International Parvez Iqbal, Int’l Khalid Paracha, Int’l Arshad Hussain and many others.

According source close to National Hockey team Asif Bajwa involve on all 18 players’ resignation he miffed and abuses to players after losing match from Canada and then all players called an emergency meeting and announced retirement in protest.

News receiving from New Delhi Asif Bajwa tries negotiation with team players on Thursday lat-night and earlier at Friday but he did not succeeds in own mission.

“Go Jamali Go” type movement will start next two or three days from Karachi that type movement launched was two year ago that time former Prime Minister Mir Zafar Ullah Jamali was the President of PHF and after that movement Mir Zafar Ullah Jamali announced resignation himself and Pakistan Hockey chief patron and Prim Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani appointed former Olympian Qasim Zia as president of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) and now all Olympians have demand PHF set up should be changed.
