Al Qaeda warns players from visiting India

It seems Indian Premier League4 (IPL) season three is jinxed from the start. A day after Cricket Australia raised security issues and Deccan Chargers slapped a legal notice on the management, comes another stumbling block for the IPL.

Now, Al Qaeda leader and 313 Brigade Commander Ilyas Kashmiri has warned sportspersons against visiting India.

He said, "We warn the international community not to send their people to the 2010 Hockey World Cup, IPL and Commonwealth Games. Nor should their people visit India and if they do, they will be responsible for the consequences."

The chilling message was received by a media house shortly after the blast at German Bakery in Pune.

The bakery blast and Kashmiri's warning come as Washington tries to bring India and Pakistan together to work as allies in fighting the war on terror.

It came a day after India and Pakistan agreed to foreign-secretary-level talks in New Delhi on February 25.

The email also warned of more deadly attacks in the future. "We, the mujahideen of 313 Brigade, vow to continue attacks all across India until the Indian Army leaves Kashmir and gives the Kashmiris their right of self-determination."
