Karachi : Dear Media friends On behalf of Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) I warm Welcomed you. We always needed your assistance and guide line for the betterment our performance time to time, we are moving towards new sports era with renewed sprit and ambition. In this regard the Pakistan Boxing Federation required your further assistance to rationalize our progress.
As you know that PBF going to organize an International Boxing Tournament which dedicated in the name of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and we need your absolute cooperation in the national interest like past
Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament will be held at benazir Sports Complex KPT Karachi, commencing from January 1st to 9th , we have received confirmation of 20 Countries consisting upon 120 boxers and above 60 officials from different countries and two teams from host Pakistan will be participated, competition will be comprise on all 11 weight categories.
Pakistan Boxing Federation received confirmation from India, China, Afghanistan, Hungary, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cameron, Ghana, United Arab Emirate, Yemen, Bangladesh, Central Africa, Iraq, Kenya, Mongolia, Singapore and Syria 6 more teams Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Indonesia, Nepal, Chinese’s Taipei, Palestine and Jordan are line-up and they will inform soon.
We are have three main objective for holding this tournament number one we want to pay gigantic tribute to 1st Women Prime Minister of Islamic World , One of the Best Leader in Asia , Shaheed Wife of President of Pakistan And Mother of Chairman of Rolling party and second we want to persuade Pakistan’s Soft image globally and third we want All International Sports activities revival on Pakistani Soil which is need of country at this time.
The opening ceremony of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament will be held at Benazir Sports Complex on 2nd January and prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani will be the anticipated Chief Quest of the day, invitation already sent to him and hoping for positive response, such as honorable Prime Minister taking keen interest in this mega event. Whereas the honorable President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari will be expected chief guest in the closing ceremony.
The President of Pakistan as well as Prime Minister has already issued directives to the concerned entities for releasing of required funds to the PBF which are still in pipe line, still no any allocation of funds received to the Pakistan Boxing Federation.
The Organizing Committee of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto International Boxing Tournament comprising on Mr. Doda Khan Bhutto as Chairman, Mr. Mohammad Akram Khan Secretary, Mr. Iqbal Hussain Coordinator and Mr. Ali Akber Shah Qadri will be act as a finance and technical Deputy secretary.
