KARACHI: Former Pakistan Test opener Shoaib Mohammad Wednesday declared his candidature for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) governing council. Shoaib, a former member of the national selection committee, said he got the support of the some departments to be inducted in the governing council as their representative. As per the PCB constitution, a candidate needs at least five votes to be elected in the governing council on departmental quota. PIA, National Bank of Pakistan (NBP), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) , Khan Research Laboratories, Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), Pakistan Customs, Habib Bank Limited, Pakistan WAPDA and Zarai Tarqiati Bank Limited – have the right to elect their representative in the council.
