Pakistan vs England Test Series Start Will Be Latter in 2010

Karachi: England's international players will have a break of almost six weeks before getting their 2010 itinerary under way in Bangladesh.

The winter tour of South Africa concludes on January 18, with the next fixture not until the first one-day international against the Asian nation on February 28.

Bangladesh then travel to England for two Test matches, with the domestic international season starting three weeks later than this year when West Indies took part in an unpopular Wisden Trophy series.

The later start means the contracted players to feature in the Indian Premier League will have a three-week window between March 24 and April 20, when the ICC World Twenty20 opens in the Caribbean.

The Australians return to England for another summer of cricket, starting with a five-match NatWest Series beginning in late June.

They will then take on Pakistan at Edgbaston in two Twenty20 internationals before England take on Bangladesh in a one-day series.

The Aussies play two Test matches against Pakistan with Lord's and Headingley playing temporary hosts as Ricky Ponting's men refuse to take part in a tour of the troubled Asian nation.

Pakistan will remain in England as they bring the curtain down on the summer action with a four-match Test series, two Twenty20s and a five-match one-day international series.
