ICC Opens The Media Accreditation World Twenty20 England 2009

Launch of on-line accreditation for all media wishing to cover ICC World Twenty20 England 2009

The accreditation process for ICC World Twenty20 England 2009 opens today (6 April 2009) for all media wishing to attend the tournament which begins on 5 June 2009 with the hosts England playing the Netherlands at Lord’s.

The on-line accreditation process also covers the women’s tournament, in which the group matches will be held at Somerset’s County Ground in Taunton.

The process can be accessed at http://iccwt20accreditation.ecb.co.uk/. New users of the site must first register (“Click here to register” appears on the introductory screen).

A user guide is downloadable from this site and it is recommended all applicants read and understand this guide before commencing their application.

The other venues staging ICC World Twenty20, which will both host the men’s and women’s semi-finals, are The Oval and Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

The ICC World Twenty20 finals day will be at Lord’s on 21 June 2009.

This accreditation service is run by the hosts for the tournament, the England and Wales Cricket Board. Media enquiries should be directed to iccwt20accreditation@ecb.co.uk.
