PM & Governor Punjab congratulated Pakistan Junior Hockey Team

Karachi, March 28: Prime Minister of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani and Governor Punjab Salman Taseer congratulated Pakistan Junior Hockey Team for winning the five nation junior hockey tournament in Egypt. In a message to the President Pakistan Hockey Federation Qasim Zia and Secretary Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Prime Minister and Governor Punjab congratulated the officials of PHF and whole nation for winning the two consecutive tournaments in Malaysia and Egypt. They said that this is the result of the current PHF management’s policies and the Government’s support towards PHF will continue in future. They hoped that Pakistan Senior Hockey Team will also win the Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament in Malaysia next month.

Pakistan Junior Hockey Team will arrive from Egypt to Lahore via Bahrain on 30th March (Monday) at 05:40am on GF 764. You are requested to cover the reception at Lahore Airport.

President Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Qasim Zia, Secretary Muhammad Asif Bajwa, Olympian Rana Mujahid Ali, Advisor to President PHF Rana Mazhar Ali Khan, Chief Selector Hassan Sardar, Olympian Shahbaz Ahmad Senior, Khalid Bashir, Farhat Khan, Muhammad Akhlaq, Mansoor Ahmad, Anjum Saeed, Muhammad Shafiq, Chairperson Women’s Wing Barrister Shahida Jamil, Secretary Parveen Sikander Gill and Pakistan Hockey Team’s Management congratulated pakistan Junior Hockey Team for winning the five nation junior hockey tournament in Egypt.

They said in a message that this is the good sign before the junior world cup that Pakistan Junior Team won four nation tournament in Malaysia and then five nation tournament in Egypt in a row. They hoped that the team will also show this type of performance in the World Cup in June and these victories will help Pakistan Team in the tournament.
