Pak women cricket team announced for tri-nation series, World Cup

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday announced a 14-member squad for the forthcoming tri-nation series in Bangladesh and the impending International Cricket Council (ICC) Women World Cup in Australia.

The series in Bangladesh is to be played from February 3 to 18. The Women World Cup will be held from March 7 to 22. South Africa and Pakistan had been elevated to this level after making the final of the Women World Cup Qualifiers, where Pakistan had ended as the runners-up.

The 14-member Pakistan Women squad is: Urooj Mumtaz Khan (captain), Sana Mir (vice-captain), Bismah Maroof, Nain Abidi, Sajida Shah, Javeria Khan, Arman Khan, Batool Fatima, Nahida Khan, Almas Akram, Asmavia Iqbal, Sania Khan, Qanita Jalil, Naila Nazir and Sukhan Faiz
