Sajida Shah highest-ranked Pakistani in Reliance Mobile ICC ODI Women’s Rankings

All-rounder Sajida Shah is Pakistan’s highest-ranked player in the Reliance Mobile ICC ODI Women’s Rankings that were launched in Mumbai on Thursday.

The 20-year-old is 17th in the bowling listing and received great praise from her skipper Urooj Mumtaz for her achievement.

“It is a tremendous boost for the Pakistan team that Sajida has managed to earn a place in the top 20 of the bowling rankings,” said Urooj.

“As we are quite inexperienced at international level and don’t play that many ODI games, she has done extremely well to feature so highly.

“During the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier she put in a number of excellent performances and I think that her ranking reflects the contribution that she has made to the Pakistan side.

“I hope that over the next year, when we have the opportunity to play more ODI matches, that we will begin to see even more of the Pakistan players feature at the top of the rankings,” she said.

The batting list is headed by England’s Claire Taylor while India captain Jhulan Goswami is on top of the bowling chart. Australia’s Lisa Sthalekar leads the all-rounders’ table.
