Pakistan Sports, Wrestling Team won 2-Silver medals in the Commonwealth Youth Games

1. Pakistan Wrestling Team have won 2-Silver medals in the 3rd Commonwealth Youth Games being held at Pune (India) today. The names of winners are Salmat Ali (42 Kg) and Haider Ali (46 Kg). Muhammad Asif Javed of Pakistan has qualified for Semi-Finals in 100 meter race. Similarly, Pakistan Table Tennis team qualified for 2nd round today.
2. 3rd Commonwealth Youth Games are in progress at Pune (India) with effect from 12-18 October 2008. Pakistan contingent consisting of 24-members headed by Muhammad Anwar Khan, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Sports are participating in the Games. Pakistan contingent are taking part in five disciplines Athletics, Swimming, Table Tennis, Weightlifting and Wrestling
