Karachi , 24 September : Four Men and One lady player will participate in Syria International Series to be held in Damascus Syria from 14th to 17th October 2008. The players were selected after four days trials held at Lahore. The names of the selected players are

Wajid Ali , Ahsan Qamar , Mohammad Attique, Rizwan Azam
Lady , Aisha Akram
The selection Committee headed by Mr. Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri with Lt. Col. Amanat Ali and Tayyab Sohail as members watched the trials and selected the players.
It is pointed out that in the last Syrian International Series held in Damascus Syria in October 2007, Pakistan Double Pair Mohammad Attique and Rizwan Azam won the Gold Medal. The tournament was participated by players from fifteen countries.
Aamer Hayat Khan Rokhri, Secretary General expressed the hope that our players will win the Gold Medal again in the Men’s Doubles with bright chances of winning the Single’s Title also.
This is a World Ranking tournament and Rizwan Azam and Mohammad Attique are expected to further improve their world ranking of sixty one.
